  • Netflix's "House Of Cards" Washington DC Screening

Kate Mara wore a gorgeous Peter Som dress from the Spring 2013 collection. The seafoam-colored mini dress was accented with mesh flower embroidery, and it was so refreshing to see her in something other than Dior on the red carpet.

  • 24th Annual Producers Guild Awards - Arrivals

Kerry Washington wore a strapless Marchesa dress to the Producers Guild Awards, which also featured black lace detailing. The frock was a modern take on the vamp look, and highlighted the actress' best features. She carried a bright pink clutch by the same designer, as well as black classic Louis Vuitton pumps.

  • Pepsi Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show Press Conference

Beyonce wore an Olcay Gulsen white minidress to a Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Press Conference, where she now famously sang the National Anthem acapella. The simple design looked elegant on the songstress, especially with her gorgeous locks.

  • 2nd Annual AACTA Awards

Nicole Kidman wore a strapless yellow Erdem dress that sadly washed out the notoriously fair-skinned Aussie. We prefer to see her wearing rich jewel tones rather than this unfortunate pastel hue, but we commend her risk-taking.

This week, there were plenty of movie premieres and events—which resulted in some major red carpets and some serious fashion risk-taking. Celebrities like Cate Blanchett, who rocked a daring red look from Armani Privé, and “Warm Bodies” star Analeigh Tipton, who rocked a memorable Barbara Bui Spring 2013 leather romper, helped ease our minds of the relatively boring black and white numbers that dominated the SAG Awards’ red carpet last Sunday

As usual, we’ve rounded up our nine favorite looks of the week—and included a faux pas for good measure.
