SC: What was your first job ever?
EJL: My first job ever was at sixteen and I sold jewelry tattoos called J'Attoo to department stores in Europe! My first real job was at the investment banking firm of Lazard Freres.
SC: Did you always know you wanted to do what you're doing now?
EJL: No! After Lazard I wanted to create something that would mix business and creative and it just happened.
SC: What has been your greatest career memory?
EJL: It happens often when I meet incredible people with endless talent and passion.
SC: What has been your biggest challenge thus far?
EJL: Everyday there is a new challenge. The biggest one is always trying to be revelant and in line with your brand and customer.
SC: How do you balance your professional life with your personal life?
EJL: I don't, they are my life and somehow it all just works together.
SC: What's your most coveted item for the summer?
EJL: Our Evita bag in Silver.
SC: Where is your next travel destination?
EJL: Dubai, next week!
SC: What is your favorite thing to eat after a long, busy day?
EJL: Some great sashimi and sake.
SC: Do you have a signature recipe that you can share with us?
EJL: My signature drink is the "Strepetepe." It is our house specialty cocktail and is made of blended vodka, mint, lime and a bit of sugar over crushed ice. I like to serve it in a chilled silver goblet with a spring of mint.
For dinner, make a few easy dishes that everyone will love. Pasta is always a crowd favorite and super easy to prepare. We make a great crab and lobster pasta.
SC: If you could swap closets with anyone in the world, who would it be?
EJL: The Marchesa Luisa Casati for her eccentricity and amazing jewelry.
SC: Whose home would you most like to visit and explore, living or dead?
EJL: YSL!! I would like to live there.
SC: What's on your must-read list?
EJL: The Believers by Zoe Heller.
SC: If you were to write a memoir, what would you title it?
EJL: Why Not?
SC: What sign are you? Does it reflect who you are? Are you a believer in astrology?
EJL: Libra, and yes, I love astrology.
SC: What is the world of of Eva going to look like in ten years?
EJL: Who knows….hopefully very inspired!
SC: What are you working on this spring?
EJL: We are going to be working on launching a new Vivre.com With more selective product offerings while creating very unique products, simpler navigation, and a more user friendly checkout, the changes are hopefully going to be very well received.
