In these rather difficult times, it is a truly moving and reassuring spectacle to see the good in people come shining through despite every indication to the contrary. That is exactly what happened at this year's elegant ARTWALK NY event benefitting Coalition for the Homeless. Held in the gorgeous Skylight Studios space in downtown Manhattan, the fundraiser sold twice the amount of tickets as last year's event, bringing in over 900 attendees, and raised over $110,000 in the silent auction alone. And what a worthy cause to support; Coalition for the Homeless caters to the 120,000+ New Yorkers ( ...

There were a million and one things to fall in love with at Tuesday night's Paris bash celebrating the new Sonia Rykiel for H&M collection, but the most exciting part for me may have been the opportunity to buy the pieces right then and there at one of the many carnival-themed booths at the event. There was such a mad rush of people stampeding to snap up the gorgeous pieces, that by the time I elbowed my way up to the front, they were sold out of a lot of the items I was hankering after. I did manage to get my hot little hands on the rosette-embellished tap shorts and the black lace pantie ...

Last night, I had the distinct pleasure of attending what must have been the most elaborate party I've ever witnessed--and if any fashion collaboration deserves such a spectacle of an event, it is definitely Sonia Rykiel for H&M. The remarkably well-made collection--comprised of silk bras, chiffon tap shorts with rosette details, flowy nude robes, and adorable striped panties--was displayed perfectly in an astonishing carnival wonderland constructed specifically for the event in the Grand Palais right in the heart of Paris. It came complete with a lit up Eiffel Tower, carnival rides, a ple ...

Remember that scene in Clueless when our beloved Cher Horowitz said "It may sound silly, but sometimes I have more fun vegging out than when I'm partying. Maybe it's because my party clothes are so binding...." and then proceeded to lounge around in her pajamas watching TV with her stepbrother/future love interest/father's legal assistant (weirdness)? I don't think there is a single quote in history that I can personally relate to more than that one.
That's why, after a week of being stuffed into corsets and suffocating torture devices disguised as dresses, I was so enthused about the prospec ...

One of our favorite NYC stores, Odin, just created an amazing trio of unisex fragrances called Owari, Nomad, and Century. To celebrate the big launch, an intimate little soiree at Hotel Griffou was held with a lovely assemblage of well-wishing friends stopping in to pay their respects. My personal favorite is Century, which smells musky and mysterious and sexy, but you'll have to take a sniff at all three; they are pretty remarkable. You can check them out at Odin New York, Fred Segal Beauty in LA, Louis Boston in Boston, Carrots in San Francisco, and Forty Five Ten in Dallas.
Below, my favori ...
